Class day and time:
- Monday – Wednesday – Friday: 6:00 – 8:30 pm
- Saturday: 2:00 – 4:30 pm
The curriculum consists of 2 phases of 60 credits. All courses are taught in English.
Stage 1 - Coursework: 4 modules (46 credits) in 18 months
a. Module I:
Provides the students with the economic knowledge and quantitative methods needed to understand different economic phenomena taking place in business organizations, financial markets, financial institutions, and international trade organizations.
b. Module II:
Provides criticalthinking skills, teamwork and English writing skills, and investment project appraisal skills. The module aslo provides students with the advance knowledge to understand firms, international and domestic development agencies, and local communities.
c. Module III:
Provides risk analysis and management skills in corporates and financial institutions. It also shed lights on the operation of the financial market and public finance.
d. Module IV:
Guides students through applied research ideas via meetings with top economic and financial exports in Vietnam and abroad.The students also learn research skills and proposal writing to be ready for their thesis writing during Stage 2.
Stage II: (thesis writing – 14 credits)
During the last 6 months of the program equivalent to 14 credits, students complete their graduation theses based on the approved proposals. Those students who successfully defend their theses in English will be awarded with the UEH Master's Degree in Development Economics, and the certificate signed by ISS.
